On his way toward to Earth, Keen sees the Vorticon mothership hovering above the Earth. As soon as night falls, Keen flies up to the ship, beams his Attach-o-Ray to the back end of the ship, and sneaks in. As the player, you must destroy the deadly T-14 Tantulus Rays ... before the Vorticons destroy you.
