<CTRL><SPACE> = you get the pogo stick, all the keycards, and your charges go to 100 (even if you already have more than that).
When you're at the map, hold down <SHIFT> and then hold down <TAB> at the same time to go through cities.
<G><O<D> = God Mode. You can only be killed by pits.
Also, hold down <ALT> and press <CTRL> to fly.
On the dark side of Mars find a machine-like city. Go in. Go down to very bottom of the city. You will find a hole with fire on each side of the sides of the pit. Jump down. Be careful, because at the bottom of the pit there is a fire. Swerve left or right. If you swerve left, you find a whole lot of floating bricks. Cross them to find 4 5000-point teddy bears. If you swerve right you will come to a wall just too high to pogo over. Do not be fooled. There is hidden brick to your left. Pogo up to it, then jump over the wall. On the other side of the wall you find a snowball shooter mounted upon some ice, a fire, and another wall. Get on the brick farthest to the right. Pogo as high as you can. Then, pogo right into a snowball. That will send you flying over the wall. On the other side of that wall, you will find a robot. His laser can't penetrate ice. When the ice is melted jump onto the stack of bricks to your right. Grab the teddy bear and go into the teleporter.
Also, shrines contain friendly robots. Touch a friendly robot and it will tell you its secret. On the bottom ice cap on the dark side of Mars there is a city. Go in. Go rights until you find a couple of gray dots. These are actually camouflaged bricks. Jump on them and you will find a cache of goodies higher up. Then, go back down. Go right until you find a chasm. Then do the <CTRL><SPACE> cheat. Jump down, but stick to the left wall as you fall. You will land on a pile of bricks. If you go right, avoid the pesky robots and jump on top of the ledge above the fires. You will find more gray dots, jump up those to go to the finish. You kill the Vorticon commander by squashing him with a big rock. If you go left, you find a lot of holes with Gargs and teddy bears in them. Jump into the first hole and shoot the Garg. Then take the teddy bears. DO NOT LEAVE THE HOLE YET! Shoot through the hole on the left side of the hole. You will kill the next Garg. Keep on doing this until you reach the last of the Gargs. Then avoid the robot to grab a pogo stick and a raygun.
Use <ALT> to pull levers and push buttons. Do not pull levers next to purple spinning things or you will blow up the earth.
Also, Vorticons will not jump in the dark! Period.
Also, use the red robots at elevators.
Little yellow Ankhs make you temporarily invulnerable.
If you go to the island with the Grand Intellect's castle on it, wait next to the seaweed (or, if you're in God Mode, on the seaweed). Eventually, the Loch Mess monster comes by. Get on her back and she will take you to a secret island.
Another thing, to beat Mortimer McMire, shoot all the purple things and then shoot the heart of his machine. It will explode like a bomb!
I have no hints or tips for Keen Dreams.
To the Pyramid of the Forbidden: In The Pyramid of the Crescent Moon, go to the bottom of the level and collect the 12 little worms at your feet. When all the worms are gathered they transform into a giant foot. Jump onto the foot to fly to The Pyramid of the Forbidden.
First "Village" under houses in tunnel by lava pool, there's a hidden gap you can reveal with the <F10><Y> trick, and jump through with the <F10><J> debug, which leads to 9 lives.
You can not get the raindrops and lifewater flasks floating over the underground river in lifewater oasis. The <G><O><D> cheat doesn't work (%@#$@#!), and neither does <CTRL><SPACE>.
However, <CTRL><CURSOR> makes you climb poles and swim faster.
<E><N><D> saves all the Gnosticenes and goes to the end story
<B><A><T> gives 99 shots and 1 extra life.
There's a fuse at the top of The Secret Korath III Base. Break it, then warp to the final level.
If you decode the messages that pop up here and there, you will find that quite a few are funny or even helpful. At one point in the game the entire intergalactic alphabet is displayed. Or you can learn more from other Commander Keen sites, such as All You Can Eat Commander Keen.
How to get to The Secret Korath Base: Play Defense Tunnel Teln until just before the arch. Push and hold the down button and press the jump key <CTRL> (Not <ALT>, which is the pogo key). Move down the tunnel until you reach a secret room. Then walk down to the teleporter (the big, light blue, fat thing with the antennae). It will take you to The Secret Korath Base.
Top left-hand corner on the first level - look for the hidden tunnel with the <F10><Y> cheat and reach it with the jump cheat. It leads off to the right end of the screen where there are some extra lives. Once you go through the tunnel, you can't turn back, so you have to leave from the secret lives area. Compare this with the ending if you don't break this hidden fuse.
The sign by the cookbook says, "How to Serve Humans". This is a reference to a science fiction book.
The hidden level in this one is past the last level in the top left corner of the main screen. Take the ticket, then wait there. A rocket will pick you up and take you to the secret level.
In one level, the pipework on the walls spells "Romero", one of the people who worked on the game.
Go to the Bean-With-Bacon Megarocket screen. Up on the right side there is a chute. Use the <F10><Y> cheat to find it. Pogo through it and you will be sent to an extra underground level.
I have very few hints for this section. However, you can press <F9> to warp to the next level.
<F5> will either take you to the boss level, or it quit the game.
