Billy Blaze makes a spaceship out of junk. When his folks are away and his baby-sitter is asleep, he dons his brother's football helmet and transforms into his alter ego ... COMMANDER KEEN! Keen heads for Mars.
Little did the rest of Earth know, but earlier that year, the Viking spacecraft had landed on something other than Mars. It had landed on the tyrant Martian King. The Vorticons, dog-like creatures in control of the Martians, were not pleased.
The situation was as follows: Martians think toys are sacred. That's the reason why Martians have been visiting Earth for centuries. The Vorticons also want to invade Earth; for their own reasons ....
When Keen lands on Mars, the Vorticons steal 4 parts of his ship and hide them in Martian cities! As Keen, the player must regain the pieces.
