Commander Keen turs to the left. He continues running. It seems as though his lungs are about to explode. That would not be good. He continues running though, because he was running for his life, and when you run for your life, something prevents you from stopping. Just as his lungs were about to explode, he reached a window. When your lungs are about to explode, and everything is wavy from lack of breath, and something involving your brain is going wrong, you can't exactly think. That is the best excuse I can think of as to why Commander Keen ran right out the window into the vacuum of space.
