Bug Tally!
Let's make a tally of all the bugs in each Keen game and see which has the most. Should prolly specify which version of each game that the bugs happen in, too.
(I hope this thread doesn't dissolve into a debate over the meaning of the term "bug".)

Ones that I can think of:

Keen 4:
- Walking through a door in mid-air to exit the level
- "Lose Gem When Save & Load" error (from an earlier version)
- Looking up, standing on a mirage-block = not falling down when it vanishes
- Spinning Slug/Arachnut when you switch off a bridge that they're standing on (Is it a bug, though?)

Keen 5:
- Goplat error
- Looking up on a rotating platform, same effect as mirage-block bug in K4
- You can die when you destroy the QED, yet still win the game

Keen 6:
- Impossible Bullet
- "Save & Load" bugs (when off screen, or on the eyeball in the Molly Room, etc.)

Keen Dreams
- you can jump on those killing green grounds, if you hold jumping button

Keen 5
- you can finish the level if you have destroyed the machine (sorry, can't remember their names) and something kills you after that

Keen 6
- spinning blooglet when you switch off a bridge that they're standing on :)
- that odd bug with pipes near the Molly place

Keen 6
You can carry gems from level to level
If you end the game and restart, you keep any gems you were carrying.

Oh, and the Keen6 - no-point walkthrough on my site doesn't work for Keen 6 1.4. They fixed some of the clipping bugs.

Keen Dreams: If you're as far right on a level as you can go (at the edge) and you get killed, you finish the level.

I've only tested this on the level where it first happened to me (Parsnip Pass, I think), but it might occur on other levels too.

If I remember correct, this works on Keen 4-6.
First of all, kill yourself (in the game ofcourse!). Then quickly save game. Load game. The screen will follow dead Keen as down as possible. Let Keen bounce once from the edge of level. Then save and load. Continue this until you have finished the level. :)

It works on any level as long as there's not a wall on the far right side (like in Tuber's Castle).

In Defense Tunnel Teln get the blue key and go to its door. Put the key in just as the purple dude (forgot which one) starts pushing you right. You stay in the insert key position and after you're pushed up the ramp you'll float back in some strange way.

In keen 4 and keen dreams, when you are behind an exit sign, hold down, and press jump, you go into the ground a little ways.

In keen 4, if you shoot a bounder right after it bounces, it will bounce higher into the air than normal. in the Perilous Pit, by the blue gem, if you kill the bounder and he lands on the pole, you can stand on top of him, press down, and keen will stay in one place but look like he is sliding down the pole.

There's the whole mess of clipping errors and ending levels in weird ways in Keen 6 that you can exploit with IB.

There's also a number of places in Keen 6 where you can save that will make the camera start near the bottom of the level and scroll up to where you are when you load. In the last level of Keen 6 there are divider tiles so when you save on the eyepole the game starts the camera right above the top divider tile and scrolls up, which explains why you can't see yourself. (Some other places where the scrolling camera trick happens bug-free is next to the door next to the exit in Bloogton Mfg., Incorporated and on the ledge next to the area with lots of points and 3 dropping platforms in Bloogbase Mgt. District).

Keen 6
under the arches with diagonal red stripes, look down and jump to go down a tile. This is useful in Guard Post 1 as keen will fall through the floor to the lower level.

Get a new lease on life in Guard Post 1 by doing this: Near the beginning of the level, in the area above (past the the metal pillar, and just to the left of the above mentioned arch, get killed by a blooguard, as you fly up, exit and save the game. reload, and quickly press F10+N (no clipping), then F10+G (just in case). If keen doesn't fly over the pillar, the next time a blooguard hits the ground, keen will stand up, alive and well! Now when keen walks behind walls, he will be visible.

In Keen 4 (and maybe also Keen 5 and 6), when you are near the bottom of the level look down, save the game, load it - you will see some "edge of map" blocks. It also works in situations like the one in the screenshots below...

Save the game...

In Keen 5: You still can finish the game if the Shikadi mine blows up you and the fuse. Not sure if this is a bug.

The Robo Red bug in Keen5,

In Defense Tunnel Teln you can shoot Robo Red when he is at the edge,
and he will float in the air, and start shaking forth and back

In Keen 3, there's a level that you can finish with ankh time left, and it remains with you on the world map. You don't get to start another level with it though...

There’s other invisible poles in Keen5 too, though it’s been a while since I’ve played it (while looking for bugs) so I don’t know where.

I think it's under any slanted ground of a certain grade. It might also be only on the green slants, I don't know...
