The real enemy- The Shikadi- are the ones who subdued
this poor creature to their terrible name. The Shikadi noticed
the resident 2.5 cm worms and their ability to move Keen
to the most hidden reaches of the Shadowlands. Because
the worms are invincible, like the High Council, the Shikadi
hid them away, after dubbing them "inchworms"
But not good enough! We found them, obviously...

Well, on to the good part- the magic of the worm!

First of all, each worm has a small dose of power in him,
but not enough to actually do anything with it. In factm the
worms each have about 1/12 of a standard "ZAP!" You see it coming?
Twelve worms must be together to be able to perform one small trick!
Being such a lesser life form, it's logical to them, with
their pitiful logic, that 12 inches should make a foot!
(Oh, how I hate the Shikadi) Therefore, the trick they perform
is the appearance of a large, sparkling white foot, shimmering
with weak magical power. When our hero, the anti-imperial system
Commander Keen, touches this foot, he is transcended to the
Pyramid of the Forbidden!

(Again, the logic of a worm suggests
that a foot should go to a hand, etc...)

Here are some progressive shots:

Keen opens the gate and releases several 2.5 cm worms
from bondage;

[foot1.gif]

They follow him like sheep to the slaughter, too stupid
to fend for themselves.

[foot2.gif]

He gathers them together...

[foot4.gif]

And POOF!

[foot5.gif]

He waits...

[foot6.gif]

Patiently by...

[foot7.gif]

To reap the fruits...

[foot8.gif]

Of the 2.5 cm worm's labor! Voila!

[foot9.gif]

Off to the Pyramid pf the Forbidden it carries him...

[foot10.gif]

It leaves him in the field and disintegrates.

[foot11.gif]

Several deaths and a rude disappointment later, Keen
finds himself by the foot again, this time his passport
outta there.
