Keen6 is a nice game. It introduces more puzzles than
the other Keens, so it makes you think. And it introduces the one eyed, drooling,
chicken-like things that have touched so many people.
My polls tell me that Keen6 is the number #1 Keen game.
This may change. Hopefully.
Graphics: 7
Ooh. Nice. Good potential if someone felt like remaking it (Carmack, perhaps?).
Gameplay: 7
Aside from rare nuisances involving switches and pogoes, the gameplay is just as good as the
other "Goodbye Galaxy" games.
Game Design: 9.5
Introducing more strategy might have been a bad move for Keen. But it did make levels more
complex. In today's society though, most people don't enjoy thinking. They'd prefer to rip
out their friend's kidneys in Quake Arena.
Satisfaction: 10
Nice satisfaction. Figuring out the door combination was challenging. For five minutes.
Then a glitch occured and my babysitter hopped right through the closed doors, which is just
as well because I didn't collect the gems. Then she tells you how -------- plans to blow up
the Universe. She says it so casually.
Sound: 6
Good sound. It would get a seven, but I really hate the "To the Future" song. It can be
found in the tower level. And we still have those annoying jumping sounds. "Goodbye
Galaxy" does have better jumping sounds than "Invasion of the Vorticons" though.
Overall Rating: 81.8
Memorable Moment:
Seeing how casually the babysitter talks about -------- planning to blow up the universe.
