So...Stef's finally got rid of Mamie, Red's having an affair with Carol Jeanne's best 'friend', Carol Jeanne is considering having an affair, and Nancy is a victim of incest! It's like a freaking space opera!
So much to say that I don't know where to start...

I stand by my opinion from the previous chapters; the characters are now borderline stereotypical, but they are just interesting enough (writing style or character complexity most probably have something to do with it) to avoid making the book a space opera (as Flaose put it).
