However, it is so tall that you have to scroll in order to see the list of forums, which is Not A So Good Thing. Perhaps we should try to change its shape a little, and perhaps rearrange the layout of the announcement area.

If you add a background and apply an affect like this then it will be better imo. I distorted the image to the text, then applied a bevel and a color overlay of soft-light. And the only thing I wanted to say with that example is that maybe the text should be a part of the image; I.E. like an is a part of a message. Having a bevel and distortion 'or whatever' is one of the many ways (if not weaker ways) to achieve this.

This design is patterned after the one I was doing for cc314 a long time ago, based on Keen's helmet. I still have some images to change, I may do those today, but if not, I may not take care of them for as much as a week (going home for fall break, yay!). Sure feels different in here now, eh?

The old look had a feel of innocence to it, and over time many good memories. This new look is more professional, and modern, which helps bring out the fact that we're a matured community. With Christmas coming around the golden links help add to the mood; right now is the first time this year I've felt the season coming.
