They know about Spot, of course, but do they know how he ended up with a Martian in his bedroom? If they do know, what do they think about it, and why did Keen have to zap them before he headed off to Gnosticus? (I expect they may well have found at the end of Episode 5, if they hadn't already...) This has been bugging me for a while... ^-^; RocketJess, blasting off again! The Dragonkeeper's Lair

They may know about spot, but I believe they called it a 'one eyed green thing' They did not appear to shocked at spots (Norps) arrival. Maybe they bought Billy's cover that he was an imported breed of jungle lizard. 2.) Being neurally stunned and left in the rain may have helped. 3.) I wonder what they think of 'that odd McMire boy"? 4.)Speaking of which, how much does Molly know? She Knew Keens identity, and that her brother was going to destroy the universe. "an imported breed of jungle lizard" That's great one UnFleex! I think Keen has said them about that, but maybe they think he just has good imagination. Well, he's only 8. Well, these lines are from Dreams story: "'I just saved the Earth, Mom,' said Billy. 'I don't have to eat vegetables.'" "'Sure, dear,' said Billy's mom. 'I bet Neil Armstrong never complained about HIS mashed potatoes.'" Sounds to me that her mom just nods and says "yes, sure". But a neural stunner blast right on your face might change the feeling a bit that "that boy is doing something special". Yeah, Keen to shoot her folks to get on adventure. :P Yeah, they probably don't like Mortimer - or it could be that Mortimer always when sees them acts annoyingly; being really polite and nice for Keen's parents, saying hello to Billy etc., but when Keen's parents look away he threaths Keen with the destruction of the Universe. Molly seems to know about his brother, you can clearly see that by reading Keen 6 ending story. Well, here's one thing she says: "'Oh,' said Molly. 'He said something about blowing up the entire universe or something. Well, let's get back home before your folks get home.'" I wonder is Molly the babysitter Keen always had? There are lots of odd things Calvin says to his parents, and they just sorta shrug them off. After all, Billy IS just an eight year old boy with a big imagination. ;-) He stunned his parents before flying to Gnosticus because he didn't want them to see the inside of his workshop. It'd be a pretty safe bet that Keen keeps his B-w-B hidden from everyday sight, possibly with a false floor or something. Either way, he stunned his folks so they couldn't see him blasing off into space. Molly McMire seems to be the wildcard in the situation--she knows a bit about Mortimer's plans, and has seen enough of space to know that it's not just an overactive imagination. I'd guess that Billy's parents don't really suspect anything's out of the ordinary. We can never be sure, though--we don't even know what a Neural Stunner blast can do! :-) I can't think of any way to explain the Yorp, though... --Xky

Yes, they are probably kinda like Calvin's folks on that thing. Well, they came from somewhere where they had spent the evening, perhaps some drinks also? But well, probably they wouldn't forget that yorp - his mom got quite shocked - and they probably see Spot all the time. It's even outside their house in Keen 2.. (And you can spot Spot sleeping under tree in Keen 4 also.) I wonder what neighbours think? And does Billy's little sister or older brother know about that stuff? "Billy, what have you do with my helmet.. again?" Dunno on whose side Molly is (we can't know if she is brain-controlled by Mortimer), but she doesn't seem to care very much what happens to the Universe, "Hey, as long as his parents pay me some extra because I got captured by Aliens this time everythings ok!" Back to the topic. Well, Billy's brother. He is at least in high school, probably ended it and searching a flat of his own. Something 18 or something. He seems to play football. Probably very good at it, probably has Keen's jumping and running skills. Well, I think he's the kind of guy that doesn't spend much time home (or then he is h4xx0r1ngh all the time in the basement and that's why we never see him). I think he's like Keen in some things; like friendly, helpful, would save the Universe if necessary etc., but different in school stuff. I bet he's really gifted and smart as well, but don't study much or not so interested about it. He prefers more spending the day on beach surfin' than reading works of Kant (hmmm, I don't like his writings).. But when it's exam time, he just enters them without reading before and gets some A+++s. So, in a nut shell: Smart guy that prefers more being football start than working to find a cure for cancer.. One thing that really bothered me about the plotline is that Keen's exploration of Mars coincided a bit too well with the imminent destruction of Earth. I mean, what if Keen hadn't been there to stop Mortimer? The Earth would have been disintigrated back in 1990! It's all a bit too convenient... And what of the fact that the Vorticons had the ability to destroy the Earth any time they felt like it!? Flick a lever, the place erupts like so much toothpaste. But 10 Vorticons in the one place couldn't think to carry out such a simple task! Is this all just a prank Mort's pulling? Intergallactic bullying in which the rest of the Universe is just a tool for psychological torment against one eight-year-old genius? Or is he a lot less intelligent than we all think? Mortimer isn't human at all, not from planet earth and is something creature thousands of years old. 2. It's just some his plan to ruin some kid's life totally. First he selected a victim, then made him somehow really smart and super hero, and acted like he would lose and so on.. Replaced his parents and everyone else the kid has ever seen with some bots and so on.. 3. And Keen is this kid. 4. What I really think is kinda just like the Keen stories say and what we can find from the games. They are both some genius kids, Mort can't defeat Keen (at least easily) and probably Mort just wanted to get Keen out of the way in the first episode.
