Be warned: I have not yet tested all the levels. However, I beleive that they are all possible... and that you can get every single point.

One other thing... theroetical scores of infinity are possible... if you figure out how. ;)

i'll edit in comments after i've got game over ;-)

[Edit1: game over #1: alright, here's some initial comments...]

you wrote your "A" backwards in SGA on the title screen when you wrote "Based on The Universe is Toast", as well as on the in-game "XRAY" box... :-) don't worry, we've all done that a few times.

in level 1, upon reaching the exit, it's impossible to backtrack to get point items i may have missed--i actually died trying to jump back from the hovering platforms to the colorful bricks. :-( a shameful first death to a wonderful mod.

boy do i feel un-Keen without a pogo stick... lol. at least i found it on my last life, so i know where to go first this time ;-)

GAH level 2 pisses me off.. the cargo bay one that starts with 3 YORPS and then a GARG before a drop... what the heck man... i finally figured out how to get the bloody green keycard, but i STILL haven't made it thru the red door yet... argh. *feels very un-Keen right now*

i really like your keycard design, and the attention to detail you put into your light fixtures and lightlines :-)

WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! i had to use the pogo to make the jump--normal jumps weren't cutting it. thank goodness i made the effort to get the green card each life--i was beginning to suspect it was an "optional" one... glad i didn't have to backtrack lol

ha! that level i did on my first try--pogo is my savior... i didn't kill a single enemy aside from the first GARG after the first drop... all the rest i hopped over... what a mess. i wish i could have caught it on video--it was awesome ;-) i like that level.

[Edit5: game over #3, beat SWITCH ROOM]

i think you've got a jump that's either impossible to make, or very very VERY hard. at the left top part of Switch Room... there's some platforms up high that are one block too far apart--i had to use the jump cheat to cross there. rest of the jumps looked okay though. i've started saving my game to get game over less frequently.

*laugh* i'm not going to try the Trap level again. (the one with the ! triangle at the start)... it's too evil for me.

also, i found out what i was doing wrong back in COM ROOM A... i didn't realize i could stand on the platform behind the pillar... lol made things hard.

[Edit7: the secret level!]

holy. freaking. crap. the secret level was harrrrrrrrd. took me a lot of time, more than anything. i could lure the administrator robots back to the platforms at the beginning, the YORPs were a real nuisance--the biggest threat there was were the GARGs... and man was that nerve-racking. i was extremely, extremely, EXTREMELY disappointed with the end of the lower section. i got like 8000 points for all that work.... not even an extra life. i even lost ammo... :-( but at least i did it all on my 3rd try! only got like 2 lives left on my savegame now...

also, you've got a minor graphical glitch in Teleporter Guard Room... at the exit door, when using it, the wall to the right glitches because you didn't leave enough room :-) i like that level's layout though. hard, but possible.

maybe i'm just getting the hang of your level design, but the giant Maze and Security Control Two both seemed to be very easy levels compared to the ones earlier in the game :-D i did them both on my first try without dying! woohoo! the exit-door glitch from Teleporter Guard Room happened on Maze Sector 10 as well. fun stuff--did you use Snaily's maze generator for it?

argh... that storage room is tough. lots of blind drops and zig-zags... you've got a minor graphical glitch near the end of the level, on the left part of the acid pool. other than that i enjoyed the level. your big huge SGA sign was cute ;-) i was also surprised to only find one secret area... but it was a good one :-D

first off, the pink level above Tank Area didn't work for me :-( ... but about Tank Area: this level is a marathon! many many points that i cannot find any way to get. namely the AND chips thru the blue door, and many of the points in the upper area above the pink swirlies... many of them seem inaccessible. unless you put some invisible platforms out there that i can't see O_o;; it took me a few tries to get past the pusher-bot... finally figured it out--thank goodness i found your secret area :-D that's a well-constructed level, i think. i've got a few extra lives on my savegame now! yay!

fun level--but i gotta say, if i hadn't picked up so much extra ammo from TANK ROOM i would have been screwed. you did a bit of a no-no here, though... you put a secret exit in a level with a key item. if i'd taken the secret exit, i never would have got the Yellow Box! shame on you ;-) it was a fun level, though. i think these after-the-teleporter levels should have gone before the teleport, and the before-the-teleport should be here... the mod seems to be getting easier (or maybe i'm just getting Keener!) hehehe :-)

alright, i take back everything i said about the mod getting easier... GADZOOKS :-) okay, first off, the level below Weapon Room, didn't have a name, but i called it EXCESS ROOM... way way way too many pushbots. i got stuck in there holding down my little pogo button for about a minute and a half before i said "Screw it!" and turned on god mode to get out of there... how is one supposed to get across there otherwise? :-( the level below that one wasn't too bad (i think it was Cargo Distribution)... i notice that the pogo is now required to beat these levels :-) good thing i've had one for a while!

you mis-spelled Ventilation Shaft, you've got VENTILATION SHAT in your level X-) the level itself was insane... if i hadn't picked up all that ammo in TANK ROOM i'd be really sweating--starting off and having to kill a dozen enemies could be potentially bad if i didn't have any ammo! X_x;;

so now i've got a save right before the last level with 3 men and a hundred something ammo... and the only level i haven't beat is the trap room way back before the teleporter. wish me luck on this one :-)

aaaaahahahahaha i got my butt kicked... 3 lives gone in under 5 minutes. first one fell to the tank when i tried to get points on the top route... 2nd one fell to the long drop (it'd be nice to have an arrow as a hint on which direction to go--i tend to head LEFT without guidance... death!) 3rd one fell to the pincer attack of two GARGs... lol this is gonna be fun trying to get through :-) *loads game*

wow, what a low score compared to Grelphy's :-$ but at least i did it! the last level was fun--but i have a minor quibble with the long drop off after the last Administrator bot... why is there the drop to the right if there's nothing down there!? oh well--i know there are a few secret areas i missed but all in all this was a very enjoyable mod ^_^

i was proud to see my little Keen sprite being used again, and i was extremely impressed by your tiling system--everything looked very sharp! i may let a few of your architectures influence the design of my Keen2 mod (i still can't decide how to do the tiles for it)

thanks for an evening of fun--i was playing that for about 3 hours *wipes sweat off brow* sorry for the epic-length message here... i just wanted to chronicle my reactions as they came. so much better than trying to sum it all up in one go. :-)

so overall i'd rate it about an 8/10. level design and tiles were a huge plus, though you were knocked a bit for lousy point placement--there's quite a bit that you simply cannot get. enemy designs were cute (naming them YORP and GARG hehe) but their graphics were a bit unlively. you placed them strategically enough where things were never boring though :-) great job and thank you for all your hard work!

I tried the first level and I must say great stuff!! Nice robots:) . Level design could perhaps have been a little bit more creative.

whoops, i just downloaded this game a few hours ago and forgot to post.

nice game grelphy, i just played a couple of levels, great stuff, i love the view of space in the levels, good job grelphy.

Xky: I take it you didn't find the ENOURMOUS secret area full of comps and a ********** (I wouldn't tell you now, would I?) in the secret level, Administration... Muhahahaha!!!

Most of those points in pits can be gotten... It's a matter of knowing how... (Hint: jump right at the edge of a cliff.)

As for the "excess room," I forgot to change that... It had originally had a lower platform and just YORPS in it... Much easier. ;)

The "Systems Center" (second-to-last-level) was intended to have a ton of shots at the start... After testing, I decided it was way to many. But then, I know all the secret places. ;)

So, 8/10, eh? not bad, I'd been expecting like 3/10 for my evil level design...

Keenrush: put it on your site, please!

Anybody feeling clever...: Try to tell me what the main "easter egg" in this mod is... (hint: try the storage room... Big drop...)

ah... ah... wow. :-) that changes things a lot. still a LOT of work to go through to make it there, but yeah... a whole lot better than those 4 little AND chips :-P lol

the only part of a level that i think is NOT possible is the one jump i mentioned in my massive post above--a platform a tile too far left in the upper right of SWITCH ROOM. simple enough to fix.

oh, and of course the part of EXCESS ROOM where there's just too many push-bots ^_^;;

looks good. i still stand by my 8/10 ranking. your level design is fantastic, as far as i'm concerned :-)

I gota say Ex job on the graphics grelphy! i like the enemies, the story is fine, the strategic placement or enemies and incredible level design make the game very challenging! for someone with little patience such as myself even i got pretty hooked! i am bout halfway through and found it very good! i like the map redesign...and the view of space is a superb idea! really top on job!!!! thanks for all your work - u have given me hours of fun! considering Keen1 is my worst game for gettin anywhere! im real bad at it! lol

i reckon the best graphical keen game out of ck1-3, ck3 is the best, ck1-2 have really dull graphics, so its hard to decide.

I rate this mod 10/10 on all aspects, apart from the fact that you can wander anywhere on the map because nothing there is solid. (Is that supposed to happen?)

yeah exactly,

with patching you can place tiles wherever you want and dont have to worry and make a patch afterwards and do whatever you want with each individual tile.

tileinfo
I did a lot with tileinfo (notice the dark tiles) for new effects, etc, but I also reorganized the tileset where I though it needed it. (Try comparing my Tileinfo to an extraction from the exe...)

This means that you will get a bunch of clipping bugs $ graphical (foregroun/background) errors.

The bridge also won't work. ;)
