Keen Mod
Hey Everyone -
I just wanted to let everyone know that the Mod I'm working on is still on its way...making a mod takes MUCH more time than one would think. I've always wanted to make my own completely original game, and editing keen 1 has given me a chance to do that without knowing much programming. Soon, hopefully, I will get a chance to learn how to make games from scratch (any tips on internet links or good books on the subject?), but for now, I am very proud and very pleased to have made this keen mod. Because I've always wanted to do an original game, I made my own character, and most of the game involves original graphics and characters. However, Commander Keen also plays a part in the storyline, and there are some cameo appearences from other characters in the Commander Keen series. I hope to make an all Keen based game sometime (ideas welcome) but for now, even though Keen doesn't predominate in this game, it is going to be one heck of a mod. Final Exams  are coming up, so I don't know how much time I'll have to work on it....but please be patient - it will be worth it. Hopefully I will have it posted (crosses fingers) this weekend.  Anyway I just thought I'd let everyone know...peace

Nice to hear some news about this one!
Hope you get something released this weekend, at least I would have something fun then.

But yeah still good to hear that you still work on your mod not that I was worried about that.

Nice to hear news about your mod, the screenshots you showed us earlier was very nice, I'm really looking forward to this mod.Quote:

I agree, when you start working on a mod you think it will only take some weeks to make it, but my mod at least seems to take months to get finished...

At least I spent most times in finding out how modkeen works. Three weeks to import my pics
