keen mod
I started to make a mod awhile ago for keen 1. Its almost done. Is it ok if i take an enemy sprite list from your game keen rush? The green vorticon replacement is what i wanted.

If it is a Keen 1 mod you can edit some text by opening the files helptext.ck1, endtext.ck1, previews.ck1 and storytxt.ck1 with a text editor like notepad.

To do stuff besides that, open up the .pat file in notepad that comes with either my or xky's mod and download CKPatch

Im calling my mod done if its ok with xkyraugh to use stuff from his game. I cant figure out how to edit the credits, the stuff the yorp statue's say, or the finnle text thing. I also dont know how to make a new world map and i only made 8 levels(old levels are still there also). The second episode of this game triligy will be better.

You probably shouldn't rush the release of the game.
Both KMO2 and andy's KeenEdit can edit the map level. To edit the stuff the yorp statues say, download CKPatch from CC314 and read the readme.

It's pain in the garg to do world map level with KMO2, I know.. Do it with the KeenEdit.

err...
err..Keenrush, there's like 50 million places in your mod that if I go to, the program shuts down, it's kinda annoying.

I tried to make a new map with keenwright, but when i tried to run the game keen started in this blury area and then went to the map and i could not enter any of the levels. Also i am bad at making "fun" levels. This mod is only practise for my next mod for keen 2.

I dunno what you mean by blurry, but if he starts in an area full of white and black triangles, you pobably put him to close to the edge of the map. Try starting him closer to the center. As for entering levels, make sure you add a sprite on each tile of the level that is the number of the level. If you want to make blocking tiles, enter the level number followed by an asterisk. i. e.
Sprite 8 for level 8 if level is 2x2
8 8
8 8
If you want to block keen from passing till he finishes level 8:
8*8*
8 8

I tried to use fin2bmp but it did not work. As for the world map, my time is now limited because of school and other things so i am not going to make anymore levels or a world map for this mod.

Because xky Raugh has not replied to me using some pictures from his mod, does anybody think it would be okay for me to release my mod and give him credit for his pictures?

Ok, I will send it to cho'gall to put on the cerebrial cortex. Dont expect my mod to be too good, I really did not spend alot of time on it. The sequal to this game will be much better.

i apologize, Ceilick--i very rarely come to this forum. of course it's 100% fine for you to use stuff from my mod :-D it's public property... just please spell my last name correctly: there is no G in it ;-)
btw, in my .pat file, i tried to make things a little clear on what all i edited hex-wise, so feel free to use that information. just make sure you play-test everything. the game's very unforgiving if you screw with something... hehe
[Edit: graphics glitches are often caused when you change the sizes of the sprite bitmaps. i forget exactly what aDurdin said, but i believe they need to be multiples of 8...]
[Edit2: you can email me if it's urgent, because again--i don't visit this "unofficial games" forum much]

I sent the mod to chogall, but if you want the mod now i can e-mail it to you keenrush and you to xky rauh if you want. Thank you for leeting me use pictures from your game. I was only going to use the keys, the points and some other backround things. Oh and sorry about spelling your name wrong.
