Zelda II Mod (Keen1)
www-rohan.sdsu.edu/~dwest/zelda/
This is my first mod. Lots of points and enough ammo hopefully. My score going through the game as fast as I could was around 500K. I enjoyed making this mod, and I'm looking forward to the next. Comments and criticism are welcome. Just to warn you, my school server (rohan) was acting up when I uploaded this. If I need to put it somewhere else for you guys to download, plz reply. ;) hope you enjoy it! ~
ps. i know about the doors. :(

Here's a reliable link (hope you don't mind?) spatang.com/dl.php?a=zelda&b=mods
I won't get to play it til tomorrow, but from what Xky has said about your modding, I'm anticipating something good

Re: Zelda II Mod (Keen1)
WOW! That mod was sensational. 'Nuff Said!
I think it's supposed to be a remake of the SNES Zelda game. Anyway, You've done a brilliant job. Well done!
Now if I can only get a new computer to try Paperface's Mod...

Aha. So finally the fabled Cheesy Dave graces us with out presence. Welcomage!
This is one insane mod. I played it for 20 minutes or so, but kept dying on levels two and three. One day soon I may become competent enough at it to get a bit further and offer some feedback.
From what I've seen so far, great work. The levels are well-built, and everything feels weird. Definitely a good sign.

He's not remaking the SNES Zelda--he's doing his own take of the NES game "Zelda II: The Adventure of Link" :-)
The whole thing came together really nicely, Dave! Congrats on a successful release!
I'm really looking forward to the CheesyMod...

ck1patch
Cool! You should make a .txt file in the zip that tells you that it should be started using ck1patch, and not keen1.exe.
It was a bit confusing, but it was great with ck1patch

NES/SNES? What's the difference?
Well it looked like a SNES game, so I wasn't quite sure.

UnFleex: It isn't any clone, he just uses some art (or I dunno, I haven't played Zelda(s)) and creates a Zeldish world to Keen.

tnx for the compliments... I stole almost every tile in the game from Nintendo's Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. ... 'cause it was a great game (explicatives removed). There's not much ammo in the first couple of levels, but once you get across the bridge, there should be a surplus. Especially if you use a few of those lives you get at the beginning. I suppose it was my fault for expecting people to use the bat. please use add.bat to start the game (all it does is starts ck1patch ... so yea). There are three or four levels that I still enjoy playing, and I'm mostly curious what your responses will be to those. When I get home today in about 5 hours, I'll go back and check the specifics of those levels, but they're all across the bridge. Best of luck, and happy hunting ~

Re: Add it
I played a bit more forward it today. Gotta say, those spiders and bats are very creative (and deadly)! There's so much all kinds of cool stuff that I can only do one thing:
Plenty of levels still to go..

Re: Add it
yeah, great game. doesn't even feel like playing a keen game except for those shoes and that classic keenish sound.
