Wacky Keen6 Stuff
I was experimenting earlier on with the Impossible Pogo trick. I'd never tried it before today, but I needed to see how it worked in order to add it to the Chain Story. While I was experimenting with it, I found some other crazy bugs and stupid effects, which inspired an entire rampage of tripped-out insanity, during which bugs just flung themselves at me like a bunch of giks.
In addition, there's a Keen5 bug there that Victor stumbled across some time ago, which I figured I might as well add in the meantime.

Re: Wacky Keen6 Stuff
I love that stuff!
Pretty cool page, I'm going to do that kind of page to my next site too (or had planned long time ago, but never got in to work)..
Everything else on the page I had noticed (I'm doing Keen trips too), and know impossible bullet, but I can't understand how you can get Keen standing in the air so high? Teach me!
PS. Sometimes you can do fun stuff with giks..

Bahaha.
Well said. *changes description*
I expect I shall be laughing at that one for days to come.

Easily--just Impossible Bullet onto an enemy. *updates description* I accidentally pulled it off in the Blood Dome, but I couldn't repeat it there when it came to taking screenshots, so I went back to GP1.

Hmmm, ok, I'll try..
Oh, and that wet-cement thing has happened to me many times (and still does if I want to). If I remember correct the level, there should be something wrong with one pipe.
Talking about that site I'm making, I yesterday managed to get log out stuff done (there was earlier PHP version and I had to use older commands)..

Re: Bahaha.
That last one (climbing sloping green ceilings) is actually due to using the wrong tile. There's another sloping tile that's identical, except it keen can't climb it. Yep, I'm saying the original keen game levels were buggy. If you TED edit them you'll find numerous bugs, useless tiles, and glitches in foreground/background tiles. One of my favorites is this one:
That's the original keen 5 level map with the background layer turned off. Notice the very tip of the BWB Megarocket, which just happens to be on the same tile as part of the Armageddon Machine, is below?
Here's the map with the BWB in it's correct location.
It's not noticable when background is on because those 3 pixels blend into the stars.

Re: Bahaha.
Pretty good find. Now when I think about it, what was the point to create that tip of the B-w-B graphic?

Re: Bahaha.
Their BWB graphic was too large to fit in one tile, so they had to split the tip onto another tile. Of course, that means that those two tiles must be used together or things will look quirky.

Re: Bahaha.
Wow, that's pretty appalling. All these bugs really support the fact that if a game has a good storyline and nice graphics, it doesn't always matter how dodgy the software actually is.
In the case of Commander Keen, it must've had a REALLY REALLY good storyline and REALLY REALLY nice graphics... heh heh.

You're right Chog'all, but I meant that what was the point since the rocket is on black background and nobody can see it anyway!

yup
I found most of those a long time ago, but still, good work. I didn't know about that Nospike glitch, that's sweet!
