very nice work :-D did you do all that in MsPaint? or are you using something more robust? it looks absolutely incredible--can't wait to see what you do with Keen and the other sprites!

Wow! Those screen shots look great!

The Nospike:
These blue fellows walk around until they find something to charge at. But even charging, their favorite pastime, will bore them after a bit. Watch out for their fearsome horn!

I'm using Deluxe Paint (for DOS) and Paint Shop Pro (version 3.11, a very old version :crazy ).

I like the drop-hole too, it's very clever!
I have a question about that thing where reads '100'. I think it is collectiable, so is the keycard, and I wonder how you can have different backgrounds for the tile what comes when you collect something, since this is Keen 1. Like gray and yellow background for them. I hope you understand what I mean. :)
BTW, all those objects there are nice! :)
Oh, and I use PSP, but it would be same if I would use Paint, because I don't use any effects or stuff like that - I just like it more..

Yes, it's a point item, but it will not look like that in the finished mod, I just haven't drawn the items yet.

You can have 2 different backgrounds in Keen 1 -- collectable items placed after tile #276 will have that tile as background.

I don't use any advanced tools in PSP either, but Paint seems to screw up the palette of the images sometimes, and PSP is also better since you can open more images at the same time.

Noone sees any negative things in the pictures? Things like that the grass repeats it self too much? I would like such feedback too, so I can improve things. :)

OK, I have two constuctive criticisms:
First, that bush thing on the right in the last picture, does not fit in with the other art at all, it looks extremely out of place. Second, The bottom/right/left borders of the walls look out of place as well, I suggest making them less straight and more colorful, maybe like the edge of some slightly jagged rocks.

Yes, when you say it, the walls may look a little bit to straight.

I started working on other mods earlier, but I didn't finish them. I hope I have enought patient to finish this one... At least I have come much longer in the creation progress with this mod.

cool! coz with those good graphix keen almost looks outta place! if you change im, try not to change the basic keenism of Keen, (the shirt and jeans, colour of neural stunner) just suggestions and i gotta say ur artwork is admirable! as is your imagination how bout some tips to the story?...*leans closer in anticipation*:eek
