Whoa...
Yup... that pretty much covers it. Excellent job! (Watched it several times.)
Good job synchronizing the soundtrack too... and you put an awful lot of extra references in there (I think I even saw the Inchworm Foot from Shadowlands?).
Anyone wanna bet that this is going to be linked to from Dopefish.com by the end of the month?

Haha, great as always TMST. It reminded me about other Flash videos I've seen including "All Your Base," and a few other ones. You've really outdone yourself this time! Maybe next will be YORPFISSION ?! Hehe.
Again, great job.

The only things I can think of offhand that didn't appear were the dozens of Dopefish of the Week. Nice work.

great work
nice lookin' work, TMST :-) i was a bit thrown off at the pacing of the introduction (i.e. the amount of time it took to get eaten by the Dopefish at the beginning, from the shot of the universe) BUT my worries were relieved because things kept going, and going--and every time i thought that there wasn't anything left, it kept going ;-)
definitely had that AYB feel to it... and if i wasn't so biased against the Dopefish, i'd love it *laugh*
btw, my favorite part was when the Dopefish was eating everyone off the Bloogfoods Mfg. conveyor belt... i'm pretty sure i recognized 2/3 of those characters. BUT WHY EAT JOHNNY DASH!? :-)
great work, dude--how long did that take you?

Re: great work
Software: I made this in Flash MX. Flash 6 should play it okay though.
AYB: Yes. I admit it - it's pretty obvious that the "All Your Base" animation played a BIG part of the inspiration for Dopefission. Itr's likely that if I hadn't seen All Your Base at about the same time that I got a Flash animator installed on my computer, Dopefission would not exist. (See the ThisStrife forum topic that I linked to from the Dopefission page, where I reveal all...) I even snatched some images directly from the All Your Base animation and altered the words to say "Swim Swim Hungry" or "Eat Your Veggies" or "Dopefish Lives", instead. I hope the AYB fans picked up on this.
Time: First, I spent a few days making the soundtrack, whilst at the same time making a list of all the things I wanted to show in the course of the animation, and the overall form of it.(YES! Dopefission has a FORM!!! Did you spot it? Phase 1: Introducing the fictional character of the Dopefish of Shadowlands. Phase 2: Showing what the DF's creators had done with it - DF cameos in games. Phase 3: Showing what DF's fans had done on computer. Phase 4: DF moves beyond the computer realm, into real life. Phase 5: All-out silliness as we slide up the absurdity curve - a barrage of AYB-styled appearances of DF that don't actually exist, culminating in a return to the Shadowlands, where DF leaps between Gnosticus IV and Earth, symbolising the fact that the DF unites fantasy & reality, like some kind of pop-culture icon.)
After animating up to the bit where you go down the well and DF eats you, I ran up against the fact that my Flash skills just weren't good enough. I put Dopefission on hold and made some other, shorter animations, then went back to it a few weeks later. This is why the beginning of Dopefission is a little slow, but gets better towards the end. You can see a history of my progress in Flash from the past two months unfold before your eyes! (Especially the 'bug' in the aerial shot of the well. Ugh.)
Johnny Dash:
Quote: When he eats Johnny Dash, the music does that guitar thing like in at the start of the title music from Monster bash
DOES it? Let me check...
...Well. Whaddya know.
Easter Eggs: Oh yeah, it's Easter isn't it... Sorry! I was so busy putting in subtle references and subliminal messages that you'd only see if you paused the animation that I forgot to add any Easter Eggs.
Maybe I'll put some in Yorpfission, though...

In the past, I used to like Sprindreds. (I know it's stupid.)
One of my favourite monsters was the Vortininjas, and especially Dopefish. (Dopefish are found in Fribbulus Xax too, (iin the gameboy version) so this is a good sign for my next animation. Hehehehe, i give away too much!)

If it's so amazing then why isn't it listed next to "Shadowlands II" under the PCKF's "Amazing!" link on the main page?

I take it you haven't checked his homepage yet, KeenCommander. He already has. (My computer has a problem playing it in some spots with the Quicktime music player, probably because there are so many instruments in some parts, but in regular MIDI format it works fine, and is still great!)
Oh, and I would agree that there should be a link to it from the main page where the link to Shadowlands Ep II is.

Soundtrack Released:
Here's the soundtrack, since my homepage is obviously too cluttered to find stuff in...
thisstrife.com/sluggy/dopefission.htm
It isn't notated very well at all, but I didn't write it to be read, I wrote it to be listened to.
Ten points to the first person to do a decent remix/remake of it.
