More H2G2 connections...
Here's another one for the list of Hitchhiker's Guide connections in Keen:
Keen's IQ is 314.
3x14=42
42 is the Answer to the Question of the Meaning of Everything.
QED.

Could be... I think the fact that 314 are the first three digits of pi in base 10 is more likely the origin of his IQ.

Re: More H2G2 connections...
Neat coincidence though! (Also coincidental is the fact that 3 + 1 + 4 = 8, Billy's age at the time.)
If we're looking for connections to stuff, there might be something somewhere here (although I can't see many).
314 in base 5 = 84 (42 x 2) in base 10
314 in base 6 = 118
314 in base 7 = 156
314 in base 8 = 208
314 in base 9 = 256
314 in base 10 = 314 (obviously)
314 in base 11 = 378
314 in base 12 = 448
For Mortimer's IQ of 315, just add one to the answers.

314
I also tried to find some crazy mathematical connectrion between the number of levels in ???-many episodes of Keen and the number 314...
...but couldn't.

Re: 314
Hmmm... Korath III is a pretty tall level. It's possible that it's 314 tiles long (and about 30 wide).
Anyone know exactly how long it is? Someone with programming experience could probably figure it out pretty easily from the source code. It would be a nifty little hidden reference if it was true.

Re: 314
Ilsoap, your doing your bases wrong ... I don't know what your doing to get your answers, but they're wrong.
314 in base 5 = 2224
314 in base 6 = 1242
314 in base 7 = 626
314 in base 8 = 470
314 in base 9 = 378
314 in base 10 = 314 (obviously)
314 in base 11 = 266
314 in base 12 = 222 (ha!)
314 in base 42 = 7J (J corresponds with the number 20)
314 in base 314 = 10 (wow, that was tough!)
314 in binary (base 2) = 10011110
This is pretty basic stuff, it just takes a bit of time to come up with the numbers, and I haven't done this in a while, it's fun.

Nope, they're right.
They are right, you misinterpreted me (I wasn't expressly clear though).
What I meant is that if the number is 314 in base 5, it will be 84 in base 10. Just like 10010 in base 2 is 18 in base 10.

Re: Nope, they're right.
Try the melody of the Border Village music with these chords:
I II(6) V I
That works nicely.
But wait a second! They could also be expressed as V - iii(7) - I - IV in the dominant key.
So what were those numbers again?
5, 3, 1 ,4.
What?
5,314.
Whoah-hey-hey- did somebody say "314"?????
OOoo....
