That's no door!
Note: I don't know if anyone has posted this before, but I've never seen it, so whatever.
While testing a level I'd made for CK4, I noticed something strange.. For some reason, there seemed to be an area that acted as a door, although I hadn't put one there. I couldn't figure out why this was happening for a while, until I noticed that it happened everywhere that a certain tile was - $03D4 (plain black tile.. Used in underground tunnel areas). I went back to the original CK4, and sure enough, it happens there too. The only place I've found you can do it so far is in the secret area in Border Village.. Jump onto the platform (which leads to the 7 lives), and press up immediately. Keen will walk as if there were a door there, and the level will end (as doors that aren't linked to anywhere end the level.. won't bother explaining why). I'd never noticed this before, mainly because everywhere above those tunnels was tiled in a black soil tile, which slowly faded to black.. and you can't enter a door while jumping, that platform is the only place I could find that you could do it. (There are probably areas in other levels, I haven't looked).
The only way around this that I could find is to replace the $03D4 tiles with blank tiles, and put $00AA on the background layer instead.

cool thing is: in Keen 5 that special door tile (which is foreground) happens to be transparent meaning: you can make keen walk into a solid wall :-D
I forget what tile number it is...

.......if a door infotile says go to $0000 it will be the top edge of the level. if you touch the first or the second row tiles of a levels edge, the level ends.....

There's at least one (probably more) tile like that in CK4 too.. $06E9. It's used for doors like the ones in the slug houses, where there are door outline tiles, and then background tiles inbetween for the actual door (Usually the big backgrounds.. eg Forest, Dunes etc). $06E9 is placed in the masked layer on top of these background tiles, so that the door actually acts as a door.

there's another place you can do that trick in Keen 4. I discovered it a while ago, but forgot about it til now. Its in the pyramid of Gnostice Ancients on the platform below where you get the red gem. Turn god mode on, and walk off the right edge into the tar. Hold up while doing this.
