Keen nominations have finally started, after all there is no better day to start them than 3-14. Isn't it?
Here are the categories:

To nominate, simply put the number of the award (1.3 or 3.2, for example) followed by the person or thing you believe should receive the award. Please include the person or group of people that created it in your nomination (makes voting easier when the time comes. And also keep it at one nomination for each sub-category.
Remember, you can only nominate things that are made in 2004.
Nominating ends 04-14-05 or some time later. Plenty of time for everyone.
Also, this is a nomination topic, please keep the slowchat/discussions about it elsewhere if possible.

1.1: Best Mod of an original Keen game
Let's see. Now this is really hard.. Hmmm.. What about XkyKeen3 by Xky? That one has pretty interesting graphics and gameplay, and the idea of ankh patched into timer is awesome. There are many many other mods that would've deserved this one.
1.2: Best Fan-game
Although not ready yet, but really promising judging by the screens and betas, z-1's Keeng engine/game project.
1.3: Best Editor/Other Keen Program
Will adurdin's Keen 1-3 level editor be okay anymore? If not, then Spleen's sound editor!
2: Fan Art
2.1: Best Graphical Artwork
DSL has done really good job on that 3D stuff.
2.2: Best Narrative/Song
Commander Keen 4 'Tuatara Swamp Jam' by Mazedude.
2.3: Best Animation
I guess Shadowlands II was last year.. When was Dopefission released? Grrrg, I have to think about this..

Hmmm, there are many as well.. Probably I'll vote LevelLord since I've never heard of anyone so psychotic, drugged, insane, etc etc.. modder.  The mods are getting better all the time. The "humour" has been fun as well.

Episode Smi.. oh, it's there already! Thanks Xky! I will dominate Djaser for making the best (and first IIRC) Keen sculptor I've ever! It had even a garg featured!

Hmmm.. I'm waiting for Spleen's one-level mod!

What'd this go under?
I think Djaser's got a Non-computerized artwork category up there... I might as well nominate myself (Shadowlands Model, obviously) - it's the only Keen thing that I'll make, if I continue my lazyness.
I shall edit this post with all the other nominations once I've actually reviewed what's on offer.

Is there a list that shows everything that was released in 2004?
Personally, I think this community is too small for nominations to be neccessary. If we could just get whole lists of everything that's been released in 2004, we could probably cut straight to the voting. But that's just me. I really have no idea how much stuff has been released.

1.2:Goodbye Monkey Island -thenewmoonsidianX (Even though moon's christmas game played better in the platforming department I still love Goodbye Monkey Island because of it's presentation, story, and adventure gameplay. Many people fail at crossover games but I was hooked from the beginning till the end.)

4.2: Shadowlands 3 script -Even though it came out very early 2005 it deserves to be nominated since it did came out of the blue.
4.3 Keen Dreams 3D - I loved what thenewmoonsidianx did with his Lucaskeen games and his christmas game so I'm really looking forward to this one.

Looks like there's no love for XkyKeen2, ShadowKeen3, or allstories's Last Moon mod... huh. XkyKeen3's already been nominated once--rather than repeat it a bunch, why not look back over what else has come out? Heck, even CheesyDave's ZeldaII mod is eligible...

I don't see why does anyone nominate my engine for best fangame. I'd rather get that title for this year, not for the last!
I don't have time to try every mod and look for every creation that was made in the last year when I wasn't even a member yet. It wouldn't be fair if I only nominated those things that were made after last September. Isn't there a list somewhere to see what should I look for?

People shouldn't really be nominating z's game as best fangame. First of all, he hasn't even released a demo or anything close to a game, and second of all, most of his work has been 2005.

The current deadline is 14-04, but this can change since it's set by me and I won't make the polls anymore.

I wouldn't say it's too late to nominate, but I'm not in charge of nominating. I think it was done in 2004 but submitted in 2005, and since I don't know the rules I'll leave the desicion to the admins.

Geez... why doesn't someone create a real online nominating/voting system? It'd take the hassle out of collecting nominations and votes... I'd do it, but I don't know how to track/prevent double votes, and I'm too lazy to figure it out. Something like: A list of the various catagories with a textbox under each for your nominations. The voting would be even simpler (list boxes anyone?)... Nominations/votes could be then sent to someone's inbox--or you could archive them and create use them to automate the listing of the voting options 
Xtraverse?! Or someone else with server-side programming skills? (God... if only I weren't so lazy...)
